Grinding to a halt!

To pit or not to pit?

2.32kg of mud and grass and the worst drivetrain efficiency ever as no amount of Silca Secret Chain Blend Hot Wax was going to help this situation. A second bike and pit stops maybe?

We got our geek on back at the shop and the X weighed 11.26kg as pictured and 8.94kg after a wash and service but truth be known, it wasn’t the weight that was the killer, it was pure power that was wasted to get the drivetrain turning. On top of that, the beautifully predictable handling was also lost. It’s safe to say that the reason for the lack of grip maybe the clogged Limus tyres and the lack of the normal Di2 wonder shifting maybe due to the clogged mech and cassette?

Anyway, the Wessex League Droxford race got the better of the X and I was gutted to drop from 1st to 3rd during the closing stages of the race but that’s ok, I have a plan.

A really good plan!
