Forwards Cycling’s Chain Optimisation Subscription is our solution for modern day marginal gainers who lead a time crunched lifestyle or simply want to experience our obsessive attention to detail on a regular basis.

Hot waxed chains promote a clean and easy to to maintain drivetrain. Partnered with regular top up by the end user and resetting by us they extend the lifespan and performance of the drivetrain.

The enrolment package includes 2 chains and a bottle of top up lube. 1 chain is fitted to the bike and the other chain left with us at the shop. Both chains are optimised.

New enrolments outside of an Ultrasonic Bike Service will require an Ultrasonic Drivetrain Clean to clean all the moving parts. Once this is done it is easy for the end user to keep on top of the cleanliness of the gears between chain swaps.

When required the customer contacts us to arrange a chain swap while they wait. They’ll receive a free coffee and entertainment while they wait.

We’ll swap over the chain with the one we hold for them and take the other chain off to reset and optimise again.

We’ll continuously check for wear on each swap over.

At this point, we’ll advice the customer and replace the chain if necessary.

This chain is then held at the shop until the next visit.

Consisting of highly refined laboratory-grade paraffin and a high concentration of 3 specific sizes of nano-scale Tungsten disulfide, Secret Chain Blend not only acts as a lubricant but actually acts to modify the surface of the chain, filling in all of the crevices of the metal with highly lubricious and wear-resistant tungsten disulfide particles. As a result, chains waxed with Secret Chain Blend and Secret Chain Lube will actually get faster over time and after repeated waxings. Secret Chain Blend is the only hot wax lubricant to have a specifically matched and compatible drip wax which can be used to 'top off' the wax as needed, extending the duration between hot wax applications, and guaranteeing the quietest running drivetrain possible. Using the combination of Secret Chain Blend and Secret Chain Lube can dramatically extend the chain and drivetrain component life (up to 10x).
