I have been asked a number of times about the luggage and bike packing equipment I use so I wanted to spend some time during our last trip documenting what I actually take and use.

I think it’ll be a nice to follow this post up with a post about Jenny’s gear as she’s an ultra light packer compared to me. It’s worth noting that we’re not campers and seek the refuge of a nice hotel or B&B.

You’ll find, like us, that your kit will evolve rapidly over the first few trips and you’ll settle into a routine of what actually works for you and what doesn’t. This post is simply to help you with a starting point.
