A number of our customers have asked us about having branding on the downtube of our bikes so we decided to explore this idea with number 12. If anyone reading this knows us you’ll know that this wasn’t straight forward. We wanted it to be perfect and look just right. We tried loads of sizes and locations, model and branding combinations and finally settled on this design. And yes, the eagle eyed followers will notice that we centred the W to the front most bottle boss.
Number 12 is produced in Atlantis Blue Metallic with hologram graphics. It is finished in 2 coats of diamond clear coat and protected as always with a ceramic coating and we are now testing the bike shield protective film on the underside of the downtube, top of the chainstay and brake calliper mounts as an option. This protection system is an evolution of the helicopter tape that we used in the past.
We had originally planned for all the Forwards branding to be really subtle on our bikes and not to shout about it. The plan was to let the customers design flare with colour and the overall bikes performance do all the talking. We’re really happy and proud that our customers love our bikes so much that they want everyone to know they ride a Forwards, it’s simply awesome.
We’re so happy with the alternative branding that we’ll now offer either the original or alternative format moving forwards on all our bikes. Pun intended.
